“Yosemite Valley, to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green and golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space. “
What makes a river so restful to people is that it doesn’t have any doubt – it is sure to get where it is going, and it doesn’t want to go anywhere else.
I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do.

It really is such a beautiful place! I have a blog with additional info on the area: http://blog.reserve123.com/2008/10/enter-the-vast-wilderness-of-yosemite-national-park/
